What examiners
score.
Practice every one of them in a scored mock road test before the real one.
Wheels stop completely behind the line or crosswalk, every time.
A visible head turn before every lane change, merge and pull-out.
Signal before you brake or move over, not while you’re doing it.
At or under the limit, and slower in school and work zones.
Centered in the lane, with smooth, well-planned turns.
Yielding to pedestrians and the right car at every intersection.
Into the space without touching the cones, in a few smooth moves.
Slow, controlled reversing while looking where you’re going.
How test day
runs.
With the Road Test Day package, your instructor is with you from pickup to the moment you get your result.

Where people
lose points.
And the fix our instructors teach for each one.
Count “one, two” with the car fully stopped before you go.
Turn your head before every lane change so the examiner can see it.
Watch for flashing lights and signs, and slow down early.
Go slower than feels necessary; you can straighten out and try again.
Start in the correct lane and finish the turn in the nearest lane.
Keep at least three seconds behind the car ahead, more in rain.
Rehearse
it first.
A 90-minute mock test on real routes, scored the way an examiner scores it, then time to fix what cost points.
